Are you wondering what books I will be digging in on?

I have been talking about the new direction for Drawn to Lead for a month now in my posts and today I am excited to share with you the first three books that I will be digging into starting August 10th!

Book 1: Start with Why by Simon Sinek

Book 2: 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey

Book 3: Originals by Adam Grant

Have you read all of them? One or two? When I’ve shared the list of books with friends I’ve gotten a mix of responses:

“I’ve heard of all three but I’ve only read X.”

“I have #X on my list for a while.”

“I’m surprised X is on the list. I didn’t think that was a leadership book.”

And I couldn’t be more pleased by those responses. Because the full list of 12 books isn’t like other traditional leadership reading lists out there. The books I chose focus on the internal (ie. how a leader thinks) vs. just on the external (ie. actions leaders do). Because I believe that what makes you a great leader on the outside starts with the right perspective on the inside. And while each of these books are packed many great ideas, stories and insights, I will be simplifying them down to one key leadership principle per book. My goal is to cut through all the fluff so you to be able to both internalize and implement these insights because I believe will truly make you a better leader if you do. Who’s ready to start?
